Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all CONVERSEN activities resulting in an effective
implementation of CONVERSEN products and services on time and within budget. The successful implementation is
characterized by:
- A persistent and shared understanding between the client and CONVERSEN of all project processes, tasks, deliverables and milestones
- A well documented and jointly (client and CONVERSEN) maintained project plan in Microsoft Project
- Ongoing metrics establishing project performance with respect to budget, time, number of issues, issue resolution. Scheduled updates and reviews of these metrics with both internal teams and the client
- Sustaining project processes that can adapt and adjust to changes in project scope, changes to project risk profile, budget, etc.
- Collaboration with the Client as well as cross-functional collaboration between internal CONVERSEN stakeholders
- A pragmatic and immediate response to unforeseen project hurdles that clearly establishes a proposed course of action to ensure client success
Responsibilities
The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the following areas, assuming direct accountability,
or delegating under his/her supervision, areas as required:
- Coordinate all CONVERSEN project activities and liaise with customer resources at all levels of the organization
- Work with the customer's project manager to develop and track the master Project Plan
- Make recommendations for senior management decisions
- Promote change and ownership for projects
- Ensure goals and objectives are clearly defined and monitor progress toward goals
- Monitor daily and weekly individual and team metrics to document and guide ongoing effective achievement of projects
- Ensure customer staff is fully trained on the CONVERSEN applications
- Ensure that the customer implements a continuous and effective coaching program from the start of deployment
- Ensure that a continuous and effective solution quality management program is in place from the start of deployment
- Ensure that all required support levels are part of the project from the start of deployment
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
- 10+ years in the internet/software industry, with at least 5 years' experience in project management
- MS Project proficiency a must
- Thorough understanding of how products are supported, from request for assistance through to delivery of a solution/answer to the client, including the teams involved and associated SLA's
Experience in all of the following:
- Workflow analysis
- Data analysis
- Procedure development
- Team building
- Coaching/supervision
- Training
- Working knowledge of database marketing projects is also very desirable
