A typical day in our fast-paced start-up and interactive office consists of developing features and functionality for the Conversen platform, working with the client services team to scope out & develop client projects and managing any number of challenges that a start-up faces on a daily basis.

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to develop new and challenging features for our industry-leading web-hosted platform using a combination of technologies including ASP.Net, C#, XSL, JavaScript, and SQL.

Description of Position/Duties:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain current/new .NET applications and web services
• Serve as technical lead on development projects
• Responsible for developing solutions for all tiers of the application; code-behinds, middle-tier business components, database layer, etc.
• Work through all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Write creative and efficient code to meet and exceed requirements
• Investigate, analyze and address reported defects in a timely manner. Solutions to these problems can include code changes, data updates, or configuration modifications
• Development of T-SQL (SQL 2005) stored procedures and functions to implement new/enhanced application functionality
• Ability to design and develop software in a group or independently
• Assist in technical design and development reviews

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of software development experience (non-academic) with demonstrable experience and fundamental understanding of the.NET Framework including C#, ASP.NET, XML, web services, data structures and collections, caching, configuration, etc.
• Good fundamental and hands-on knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles
• Web-based development experience; involvement with large-scale, high-volume web-based systems is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Should be comfortable interacting with all levels of technical and business resources
• Good analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities' needs
• HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, XSL with a strong emphasis on JavaScript and XSL

Typical Tasks Include:

• Collaboration with product management on project specifications
• Collaboration with product management on functional design
• Proposing solutions and technology strategy
• Converting high-level business and product requirements into engineering tasks
• Implementation of tasks within estimated time and proactive communication about problems encountered
• Troubleshooting and bug fixing
• Presenting completed work to the company on a regular basis
